Have you made a vision board before?
“No matter what your goals are—to learn how to relax, to be more patient…to travel more, to find a job you adore, or to simply be kinder to yourself—a vision board is a great tool to have during your journey.” Brigitt Earley in Oprah Daily
A vision board can help you to focus and clarify what you want. It gives you a place to make your wishes visible, and a place where you can revisit them. It’s also a wonderful way to be creative!
You can easily use:
a large piece of drawing paper or cardboard,
a few magazines with plenty of appealing images, colors & words,
scissors and a glue stick!
It’s amazing how many times I can go through the same magazine and keep finding things that appeal to me. First I may be looking for a certain color. Next, for some images. Next, for some words…
I may tear out some extra things, too, that just appeal to me, and save them for another time.
You can take as much time as you want…enjoying the process. You can also choose things very spontaneously if you don’t have much time, just pulling out whatever appeals to you without giving it much thought. Either way will give you interesting results!
Place the images on the board and move them around as much as you want, until it just “feels right.” Tack them lightly with the glue stick so you can still move them…when you feel finished you can really glue them more fully around the edges!
“It turns out putting your goals on paper in this type of visual format can actually help you achieve them.” Brigitt Earley in Oprah Daily
The new year is a good time to create a vision board. Or the turning of the season, or your birthday…really any time is a good time!
I recently took a class from Tiare Smith, as she helped us create a type of Vision Board with an Angel!
First we wrote for a bit to connect with some of our wishes for the year. Next, we painted the page, and cut out images from magazines.
The idea was to create an Angel who would hold our wishes.
Doesn’t that sound like a wonderful idea?
Here’s the one I created.
You may come up with other ideas – maybe an Angel with much bigger wings, or holding a basket for your wishes..or you could write your wishes on clouds…the possibilities are endless!
Just enjoy beginning with some colors to cover the page, if you want, and then looking for images and words in magazines to elaborate on your theme. Find things that appeal to your sense of beauty, wonder and possibility!

I encourage you to check out Tiare and her many available classes. (You’ll find this Angel class there too.) She is an inspiration, and so much fun to work with! https://www.tiaresmith.com/
